2 days and already missing my TL

What a way to end Thanksgiving....
After spending turkey day at my mom place, I come back to my car to find it being smacked up on the passenger rear. By the looks of the yellow paint transfer, I am pretty sure it was a nyc cab. The TL is in the shop and I get a rental... a Ford Fusion SE. Holy moly... this car gives me motion sickness. Definitely not my cup of tea. I am going to see if Hertz has something else they can put me into tomorrow because I cant deal with this boat. The TL definitely spoiled me and I miss it dearly....

Hertz should be able to get you into something else.

Those fusions are tanks with horrible suspension and tremendous lag. I test drove one and couldn't get out of it fast enough. lol

Good luck with car

Sorry to see that. Nothing will piss a person off more than a hit and run, just inconsiderate buttheads.
Good luck with the repairs. Post the results, always curious how easy or difficult body repairs can be to deal with.

That pics looks almost exactly the same as the damage I got last winter...again, the guy didn't stick around.

In my case, the quote fro mthe body shop was $2,500CDN, but as there was no actual body damage (just paint), I was able to get it done by a detailer for about $1,000 CDN.

I feel your pain - my TL was in the shop for a month after the worst hail storm in recent history - It was like getting a brand new car though afterwards!

Estimate came out to $2200.... Its a good thing I updated my insurance to $500 deductible few months back.

Returned the Ford Fusion and got a GMC Terrain. So much better.... But still... Missing the TL...

I feel your pain! I had an RLX loaner for a day and even though it's a nice car...there was nowhere near the fun factor of my 6MT TL. I couldn't wait to get my baby back! I also realized how much I've come to love the way my TEIN SA's feel. When going over speed bumps in the RLX I felt like it was going to throw me out of my seat...way too bouncy for my taste!

Hopefully you'll be back in your TL soon...

I had an RLX loaner for a month and I know what you mean about the bumps. On a smooth road it was a great riding car though.

I totally get what you're talking about, my tl is currently in the shop getting repainted because of Acura's cbp paint defect. Got a tsx as a loaner but its nothing like the tl. Anyways sorry to hear about what happened to your car.
