is the 09 tl hot or is it just me?

The only thing that really comes to mind for me is "if Chris Bangle worked for Acura" But I can dig those oem wheels.

Though from the picture on acura's website the backend is similar to current toyota and lexus products.

I definitely like it... But our 3G TL-S are sleeker, and look sportier.... but the 09 is still better and hotter

 

the reason im asking is because i dont know if i should trade my 08 tl in when the 09 type s comes out or trade my base for a type s now being that i can get it cheep

You will lose if you trade for 08 Type S....unless you can really quickly find a private sale....

Just enjoy the base, it is a great car. And in 2010-2011 you will rock a Type-S Coupe

Coupe - cool, but pure wild ass speculation.

Type-S - again, cool, and fairly likely, but still speculation.

340 HP - hopeful for a Type-S, but just a wild ass guess at what it would take to actually *be* a Type-S.


Relax, you've got plenty of time for these things to work themselves out.

I think it looks good. It looks more upscale than the current generation. I agree with those who say that rear (from the angled shot) looks similar to the GS. I happen to think the GS has a nice shape. With the tech goodies and SH-AWD the car will be really nice.

 

If a coupe comes out it will be um what was that called a CL!
Acura is turning boring. They are not coming out with a coupe TL...sorry guys.
They are sticking to the practical sedans for a while.
If Acura coupe ever comes out again (which will be at least 4 years) it will be a whole new model. There will never be a TL coupe


(except the pure sports car based model coming out in 2010 that we've all seen pics on) Prob. with a 60K price tag at least.

all this mumbo jumbo has been repeated 50 million times in the other 09 TL threads.

 

The current RL's 3.5L-V6 goes into the current 3rd gen. TL-S. Who knows if the next gen. RL's V8 will go into the 4th gen. TL-S as well. Keep wishing and it may come true !

 

LOL...I started reading and thought I actually did something wrong. Thanks for the comment...I do have some pics but never posted em because they are no where as nice as the one's on this site. My camera skills are not up to par. I'm planning on waiting on the next gen TL-S also.

Just my $.02 before they lock this thread - from all the stuff we hear, aren't they only going to offer the automatic (i.e., 5AT) for '09, and the manual won't come out till '10? Something about the manual not being designed for an AWD drivetrain... If that's true, that's gonna suck! I'm looking to replace my '05 6spd and it sure as hell ain't gonna be with a 5 speed slushbox.

 

It kind of looks like a Hearse crossed with an Accord.
