Hey guys I use to own a 09 till it got totaled and well I got me a 10 Zdx which i love & hate at times so I'm looking into trading for a tl but I was wondering which one do you guys think is worth it? & do you guys think theres a great price difference between the 09-11's to 12?
P.S I'm only shopping for a tech shawd

 

2012 because its a 6speed auto. better gas miles. and per most of the members here, better front grill.

 

Design-wise I prefer the 09-11, but the 6Speed makes iteven.
But the SH-AWD did not improve much gasmileage-wise, no? It sure drives smoother, but mpgs did change maybe by 1 or 2 mpg AFAIK.

Blind spot monitoring and ventilated seats...are those only available on the 2012?

 

Go for the 2012, if it's within your budget.

 

The grill on the 12 is a big improvement over the 09-11 tl. The tl holds its value very well, so there isn't a huge price difference. You may even be able to find a slightly used 2012 tl for a price break.

 

Depending on what exterior styling you like, if you like the '11 TL, then buy the '11 TL.

If you find the '12 TL looks better, then the '12 TL.

 

this car is bizarrely attractive to me. probably because it has features that the mdx SHOULD have. anyway I would like to know why you love it and hate it. seriously, I am interested because if the driving doesnt suck I might choose a used one over a TL

 

I assume you're speaking of the ZDX; I too like the look of it, however would never get one myself. I'm 6 ft, and when I set the driver's seat in position, getting into the back seat is a slow exercise in cautious frustration. The back seat is really just for show. When I was shopping, one of my big requirements was back-seat room for my 5 and 3 year olds. The TL won that fight.

 

I'm 6ft tall too the zdx isn't for more than 2 or possibly 3 people in my opinion. Its a great car fun to drive you get great comments however it bores me, I want a tl for one im 18 I'd like to play around with the car. The drive between the tl and zdx I honestly wouldn't stay there's a great difference given that you get use to the blind spots on the zdx. Also at times I do need some extra room so zdx fails there.. However great cuv fun to drive but for me its too much money to maintain and stuff and also I need something I can mod up.

Also thanks everyone for the help. I spoke to my boy who's a dealer nearby & well either I gotta put down a lot of money on my trade or be prepared to pay range rover prices for a tl lol so I might just wait till summer to get into a 12 unless I find a steal on a used 09-11.
