Just noticed that my Passenger seat memory function is intermittent (sometimes the buttons illuminate, not always. They do work appropriately when they are working - memory remains). As I was checking other items, found the retractable sun shade inoperable. The glass will move but the shade doesn’t even retract a bit when I tilt the sunroof.

The green lights for those sunroof buttons are on, so I don’t think it is a fuse. Anyone else experiencing the same? Fix ideas aside from going to the Dealership? Oil change won’t be for a few months. Thank you all in advance for your input.

 

I've seen someone on another forum with this issue and another user stated that they had to have the sunroof control module replaced to remedy the problem.

Service Appointment tomorrow morning. First trip to Irvine Acura … assume it will be perfect. Will update RCA and fix ASAP.

 

My sunroof motor controller died on our 2023 MDX-S in 2024. I took it in our service manager told me there was a known problem with the motor controller. Acura replaced it under warranty. No problems since then.

if you don’t use your sunroof regularly , be sure to at least check it regularly.
