Software Version?

Does anyone have the software version for the 2022 MDX? I currently have a '19 RDX, and every problem you've ever read about the infotainment on this vehicle, I have experienced, and every day it seems to get worse. Just today on my way home the screen went blank for about 3 minutes, then said "Android is starting...optimizing app X of 112" and took the remaining 5 minute drive home to finish up. while I could continue to listen to the station I had on, I couldn't change the channel. This was a new issue I've never experienced before. YAY me. The android version I have is 5.1.1, Acura software version is D.1.5.1. I LOVE the new MDX, and would love to have the extra space (I downgraded from CX-9 7 seater to RDX) but if the infotainment system is the exact one I have, I'm going to have to pass on it.

what has the dealer done to remedy this? Not hearing much from others about this, it appears they have the issues solved?

That "optimizing" message of the apps is when Android is updating itself. I had previously read that the early 2019 RDX had some software issues but since they have OTA updates I thought they are being addressed? 2019 was the first year and the RDX was the first car to get the new Acura infotainment stack. It should be no surprise that it had bugs. My hope is that by now the major issues are fixed.

It sounds like you got an OTA patch, and the app stuff is part of the installation process.
I have had android phones for years so I've seen this countless times.
So hopefully that means some of your issues are worked out!

That being said, you would expect the version number to be slightly changed.

you would think the issues would get worked out, but every update seems to cause more issues. today, all my favorites on my radio disappeared. they came back after I restarted, but still. 🤷🏻‍♀️
