Running Board LED Strips Wiring
Hi everyone,
I'm working on a fun project to add the OPT-7 Sidekick LED Strips onto the running boards of the new MDX 2022.
The expected behaviors are:
- Blinking amber with turn signals
- Solid white when open door(s) or unlock car BUT NOT when physically hitting the dome light buttons (the brightness increases to use as reading light).
There are two dedicated wires from each strip for that: yellow for turn signal and white for door assist. I'm successfully wiring the yellow, but not sure about the white. The right place to tap into should be dome light I think, but what will happen if people hitting the buttons to use as reading lights when running on road? I can also tap into the door lights but I will miss the unlock behavior, won't I?
Any advice would be appreciated!
