Dealer question
I have a 2022 mdx advance liquid carbon metallic with espresso interior on order with my local dealer. I see a dealer three hours away has the same mdx so my question is do acura dealers trade cars with each other like other dealers?

Depending how motivated they want to make the sale, they may help you. In my case, I went to the second dealer with the original offer from the first dealer. They ended up giving me a better deal, I drove the car right off the lot the same day.

Short answer: Yes, they do.
Longer answer: Yes, they do, sometimes.
Longest answer: It's really up to your individual dealer and how well they work with their fellow dealers (which some see as competitors). In an ideal, customer-centric world, there's no reason they wouldn't be able to make that switch for you to get you in your ordered vehicle sooner. It's a win-win-win situation, but sometimes selfishness gets in the way. And like I said, sometimes dealerships end up as bitter rivals (even within the same brand) rather than partners in building customer goodwill for the brand they all represent. So go ahead and ask--you have nothing to lose. If they say no, and your deposit (I'm assuming you had to put down a deposit to order your MDX) is refundable, then reach out to the other dealer yourself to see if you can get the same or even a better deal for the one on their lot.
