2022 & + MDX TYPE S vs. The Competition!
Your numbers sound about right. Again, quite a bunch of money for mediocre acceleration. I really like the MDX for its styling and value ( in its N/A form) and it will be on my list when the dealers are forced to set aside their need for greed $$.
What are the Type S 0-60 numbers? If it's not running in the 4's it's nothing special for a midsize performance crossover and certainly not worth $75K
I just can't see a Honda V6 turbo hitting sub 5's in such a heavy vehicle. Perhaps the RDX Type S (when it arrives) might possibly turn times in the high 4's.

You'd think Honda would want to be at least on par with the Korean's when it comes to acceleration. Why are the German 4 and 6cyl turbos so much quicker than most?
The mild hybrid expanded the superior performance even more. The German powertrains were better performers even before the hybrid thing.
My 2021 BMW X3 3.0L turbo at 4.4 seconds 0-60 was quite fun. Even my 2021 Mercedes GLC 300 2.0L turbo was quite peppy at 5.4 seconds 0-60.
I don't have either of them today. The freak used car market allowed me to experience them for a few months & then sell them at close to what I paid.
If I had $$ to spare I would have kept them. The negative after warranty reputation and rip off maintenance costs are nasty. Still.......Although you pay for the pleasure,
German cars are special.

I would have no reservations getting German again for the next car.
