Corvette meet gone bad...

Luckily the guy walked away without injury. I wouldn't post this here if that was not the case.

He nearly took that thing swimming...had his head not stopped it.

That's almost as cool as doing this 3 days after buying it...

looks like he had some pretty uneven tire wear on that front passenger side tire. Wonder if it was part of the cause.

I noticed that too. That sucker was bald on the outside. Positive camber wear is what it looks like. Usually you see the inner tread thrashed on most sports cars from the heavier use of negative camber.

Looks like he overcooked the corner and understeered into the rail. That car was borderline domestic rice....GTR Edition too!!

... not a fan of putting newer-gen rims on older-gen... it would have been bad enough to put C5 Z06 rims on a C5 convertible, let alone C6 Z06 rims... but I won't h8.

Hmmm, typical mistake-cold, bald tires and cold pavement. Simple mistake. Why he didn't try to brake after he realized that he wasn't turning though is beyond me.

I didn't realize people drove fast at these meets. I thought everyone just went out for a drive.

Yea i seen many accidents happen at these meets. People always think its a good idea to have a "cruise" right after or before them.

People like to show off. Im guilty of it also.

yeah. i agree with Sellout. Last meet i was at, we were cruising down the parkway at speeds in the three digits. not good at all.. then again they were all younger than me and just wanted to get way ahead and fool around..

I looked at the tire wear too. That is the kind of wear you see on cars racing in like autoX...taking serious corners over and over.

I'm thinking this car was raced regularly, and the driver made a REALLY stupid mistake trying to showboat.
