Your Opinion? Megan~Aspec~Tein
Just looking to lower my TL, not dramatically..i only want to go 1-1.5" and really dont want a super stiff ride... Should i go coilovers from Megan or Aspec? I am new to the game...Did a search, but it all comes down to those who have them and love them for the real results...

get H & R race springs with the tokico blue if you are a baller on a budget. You could always look into the neuspeed as well not bad for what you get.

Definitely not the aspec as it only lowers the car by just under 1". I have the aspecs now and will look into getting the megan or teins in the Spring time. I'm leaning towards the megans as they let you raise the ride height back to stock levels which i need for the winter time. I don't believe you can do that with the Teins but I could be wrong. I still have 9 months to do my research!

^ I think apnorm was asking about the 'range' of adjustability. Megans can go back to OEM ride height? I don't know about that, but I could be wrong as well. If they can, that's pretty sweet, but I doubt it. I have Basics now, and I'm pretty sure I canNOT get back to stock ride height. I'm comtemplating Megans, or SS. I just don't want more of the same thing from Teins if I go with SS. My basics are too soft.

^^^Yes, I was talking about the range of the adjustability. Regarding the Megans, I found that info on their website. This was taken from their site: "The height adjustment is made easy with CNC-Machined locking perches for accuracy and smooth adjustment. You can raise your car up to factory height for OEM appearance with performance handling or you can drop your car all the way down for a formal racetrack and an aggressive stance lowering your center of gravity to gain full potential of your car’s handling capabilities."
From what I can find, the minimum drop on the Tein SS is just over 1".
Hoping people with who have Megans or Tein SS can confirm or refute this.

best ride is a-spec. if you actually want the car dropped get the teins. i haven't run the megans but i would only get them if you want to slam the car really low. the consensus is that the teins are higher quality than the megans and the teins are rebuildable if they blow.
my advice is don't try and get lowering coils if you want to lower and raise the car for winter and summer. the teins don't go high enough to go back to stock height and if you were raising and lowering it all the time you would probably have to get an alignment each time and it's a pita getting a good alignment job. the teins are made to work best within a specific height range which is relatively low compared to stock and a-spec. they ride well considering that you're low. i haven't run megans before but you can get them for about 800 cash in socal shops. i would just shell out and spend a little more for the teins.
whether or not the ride is stiff depends on the driver and how your roads are. if you don't want it stiff also go with 18's instead of 19's cus once you go down to a 30-35 series tire the ride gets a little worse.

I had the neuspeed supercup kit installed on my car and just today I replaced the neuspeed spings with the A spec springs and kept the Konis and all I can say is wow! It rides so much better than the neuspeed springs and since the Konis are adjustable I was able to get rid of the A spec gap most people have, it is the best of both worlds.

i would say get the a-spec suspension if you are worried about how the car will ride. a-spec gives the BEST ride IMO. i went from a-spec to neuspeed supercup kit on sprot springs and love the stance! the ride did get a bit stiffer but not by a whole lot. dampening adjustability is there but the height adjustability requires you to disassemble the whole spring/shock combo.

coilovers are great for easy height adjustment but im not sure how they ride as i have neva had tein or meegan coilvers. g' Luck tho....

I don't have any pics right now but they look the same as when I had on the neuspeed supercup kit. I have the front set to the second to lowest perch and the rear on the last perch, I have an even 2 finger gap all around. Keep in mind I have an auto TL with the manual springs.
