02type-s has them on his ride. They are excellent tires imo. Very sticky tires.

I was looking at them before I bought my Avid W4s. My buddy has them on his S4....great tire in the dry. Really incredible in the wet...although I suspect that the Quattro contributed to the grip.

Anyways, seems like a great budget UHP tire!

I was deciding between the s.drives and avid w4s as well!
I picked up the W4S as comfort, noise, and wear was most important to me...and tire rack recommended those over the s.drives.

both have good reviews.
getting my w4s on my new inspyres this weekend!

I have put 1/2 of a mile on my brand new S Drives, lol. Just put the rims on and went around the block to check for rubbing. So far so good! They are 245/30/19 and 225/35/19. I'll give a full initial review for you and everyone else in a couple hours after I hit some twisty's and try a couple holeshots.

Get them. I just tested the hell out of them and was amazed, and they are 10x more quiet and smooth than the crappy tires I had on my STOCK wheels.

EVO magazine wasn't pleased with the S.Drive, but I'll have to dig up the article to figure out why. I think it had sub-standard wet traction.

I would definately recommend. Funny we put on cheapos on the stock tires because I knew I would be replacing them soon. It rides smoother/ quieter on the 19s as it did stock.

A+

I'm debating on these tires. How are they holding up? Do you know the weight on the tires?

EDIT: nvm I found out they weigh 24lbs. each.

These S Drives are the replacement for the horrible ES100s. Please tell me they are way better. I wouln't mind going for them just because the price is good and the tread looks nice. Hopefully Yokohama has fixed the terrible noise problem and tramlining issue with the ES100 while retaining it's really good wet/dry performance.

In EVO magazine's 2007 tire test, the S-drives did horrible in the wet, coming in last overall in a comparative review:

1st - Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric - 96.4
2nd - Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta - 95.3
3rd - Continental Contisport Contact 3 - 93.5
4th - Bridgestone Potenza RE050-A - 92.7
5th - Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 - 92.4
6th - Pirelli PZero Nero - 92.0
7th - Kumho Ecsta STP KU31 - 88.7
8th - Dunlop Sport MAXX - 86.0
9th - Yokohama S.Drive - 82.0
