Wink XXR 527 or Forgestar F14

Hey guys I'm getting a pretty good deal on some forgestar f14. The sizes are 18 x 9 +38 with 215/40/18 up front and 18x10 + 35 with 235/40/18 tires in rear. Should I upgrade? The machine finished color hasn't sold me yet but I kinda like the wheels. Will the front be a bit weak compared to my 18x8.75 + 20 wheels I currently have?

What do you think?

Possible future setup

Downgrade IMHO.

I don't care for setups that require camber to go out of spec or setups that cause the rear wheel to poke...that setup is a dual offender.

Fit wise the rear is about the same as my current setup and the front is less agressive due to the high offsets. Mainly concerned about the looks here

I personally think u should keep the XXRs. to me, the car looks amazing with them and the sizing of them is also spot on. plus, the chromium black finish? looks damn sexy on AM.

Your current set up is nice...but the new wheels look great too. I'm not sure which way I'd go. Looks like you still have room to lower with the XXR's and I would absolutely get center caps. I don't like the empty center look at all.

Man its a tough choice. I keep going back and forth Was dead set on getting the f14 until my buddy did a test fit of the xxr on his 2g Tl and I was hella jealous. I agree with the center caps but I'd rather do without than the ugly xxr ones. I am just not sold on the machined finish of the f14. If they were gun metal they'd be on the car already HELP!!!!!

dude first things first....car looks as if its on FIYAHHHH.....looking very very sexy.....

ok now to the topic....the F14's will look great on the car but I wont put machined silver on the car....I dont know how that will look....and you sure you wanna put 215's on 18x9 ? I am running 235 on 18x8.5 and I dont have any rim support....215 on 18x9 will be an insane stretch (doable) but I would personally go with 225 or 235....

Are you looking into powder coating the rims ? options ?

I saw his car in person J and I did like the look without the center cap....for some reason it looked badass without the center caps....

then ship em to me for cheaper LOL....

nah but get em, rock em for a little bit and when you miss your xxr's then sell f14's and switch em with the xxr's....

Wheels have only 200 miles. Tires are 90% up front and 95% in rear. What would you guys consider a steal price for them?

Dude...as with wheels and changings girls and cars too often, you're always going to find something "better" and newer and you'll spend loads of money trying get to a very elusive destination. I say, keep what you got and make it what you want. Lower it more, get your center caps. You could spend all this money and waste it on shipping and taxes and new tires etc...and get the forgestars and find out you miss the more aggressive offset of the xxr's.

...unless of course you go get some WORKS

Then my whole argument is moot...
RIGHHHHHTTTTT!

Falken in rear and nankang up front. Both brands are good for stretch. @ ebelp you got to get in line. Had a buddy come over yesterday to test fit them on his 2G and he is going crazy. I probly wont sell em cuz I'll be hella jealous when I see em around

forgestars are local but I agree with you rockstar, I'm just trying to hold myself back. My girl is already mad @ me for tryna sell the xxr's

either way you can't go wrong...i really like your current setup though..just needs to be a little more agressive which the forgestar will give you so IDK

I agree with DM....I dont like Nankang and Falkens didnt do me any good...

but I wouldnt base it off that tooo much....again depends on what kind of deal your getting....

if the rims are mint condition, I would pay like 1500 for em, else 1000-1200 depending....

Lookie here, Dan...I'm not just some lucky guy...I watched those wheels sit for 9 months before pulling the trigger...thought they were a dark gunmetal (not to be confused with deathmetal) because all the pictures showed them reflecting light and got them and they were gloss black. I have never liked black on black...but hey. Poor me...it's the hand I got dealt

Ok, fine...I'll find some other sandbox...you know, it is South Florida and you can literally pick a spot on the beach and have 10 "birds" to watch at any given moment. Yeah, time for the shades.

BOT (back on topic...copyright, rockstar143): TLDude, do NOT go look at them. Between the dude looking to buy yours and you going to check em out you'll end up doing this trade! AND, less aggressive. I guess my point is that forgestar is probably an equivalent brand to xxr? No? If it's better quality, or substantially lighter...might be a different argument. Also, I'll say that Falkens are fine...I've been rockin some 452's for 15K miles with no complaints. Nankang I've heard nothing but bad about.
