Ravspec out of New York, about $2300 for just wheels.

They are very nice, very strong, but heavy.

They weigh the same as my new Axis Hiro's, about 26-27 pounds.

^ Ravspec isnt as cheap as you think...

quoted out a set of 20x9" T1S... came out to the $2600 + tax (NY'ers)

set of 19 x 8.5/9.5 -- $2400 + tax

at the END of every year (around december) work offers huge incentives to dealers, and you can get the wheels for like $1900 a set

I'd recommend RavSpec...I paid about $2100 including tax & shipping for my 19x8.5/19x9 setup. Everyone else quoted me at least $300-400 more.

ravspec so far has been the cheapest. Ask for Rick he is the wheel specialist there and will make sure that whatever you are buying will fit, he is not just some guy who is going to sell you the rims cause you want them but actually takes the time to research and suggest things like different sizes and offsets that will work. I mean 8.5 to 9 wheel only has a difference of $40 but he made a suggestion that sure the 9's would be a better fit and stance would fit and clear the brembos as well. Give Rick a call he will help you out.

I got quoted 2400 from a lot of places but that was for the standard lighting silver. other finishes were around 200+ right?
I ended up finding a good shop and paid 2200 for the MSP finish. 19x8.5 ff 19x9.5 rr

x9 +38 might rub if you use a wider tire (245/255)

Make sure if you've got a 6MT, or Type-S, you get R-disk up front to clear the calipers

the 20's he has, are $2650 shipped (ny tax incl) so probably 2500~ shipped elsewhere

I know a place that sells the work T1S $2,600... and you get them Air Shipped from Japan... Delivery in less than 6 weeks...

What people don't realize is that they were getting prices on Japanese merchadise last year when the Yen was above 100 to 1 USD... it since gained on the US dollar and is now trading for like 96 to 1 USD... that's like 5 to 10% increase in cost to you (depending on the exchange rate at time of payment)... Additionally, Work increased the price of there wheels by 15 to 20% in the last few months... Wheels that you could have purchased in December for 2,100... today cost $2,600....

Id like to know the name of this shop too and compare the price of what i just bought my work wheels from on 3/13/09 as well. I was told like a 3 month wait on mines. But damn if you can get the air freight than i know where to go next time.

I'm not going to put my connection through the paces for a window shoppers... he's got bills to pay to be wasting time giving out prices for people just trying to compare if or if not they got ripped off... when people are serious about buying... I'll give up the information...

Nothing personal...

Nothing personal either but every other business out there has bills to pay as well. How else would people know what to spend if no one gives quotes and what is a good deal if you dont shop around. I am obviously serious if i just bought work wheels on 3/13/09 like you did and i still have time to cancel the order if your connection can bring in the wheel i want for a better or same deal if the air freight is included like you said. Nothing personal i just wanna see if i got a great deal.

guys:

I recently found this post ..first of all, I would like to thank all the support you guys have been giving us.

There are people who bring WORK wheels directly ship from Japan to USA. We call that "grey marketing products".

Sometime it does end up cheaper than purchasing it through the proper channel (RavSpec > WORK USA > WORK Japan). However, if there are problems or support needed, there will be none for those who choose to buy these via "grey market" method.

Don't get me wrong, if you can save alot of money, sure do it, but if we are talking about a few dollars, why don't you support the US dealers.

We do spend time doing research and trying get the right spec for everyone and that does required time and money.

Anyway , Is Alan here ? Your wheel should be there already, yeah the 20x9.0 was a double order for one of our customers. Post some pics when you do get it !

Mark.

forgot to mention one points

pricing were different b/c

1. WORK USA retail pricing were adjusted on Feb 2009

2. USD to YEN have about 17% to 20% between 2006 to 2009 and that also cause a change in pricing.

3. T1S were on special during 2008 but have now been normal pricing.
