Winter Wheels for my 2005 TL
Has anyone tried other OEM Acura wheels for their 2005 TL?
I have an automatic and want to stick with OEM look and have looked at the 16" RSXrims and the 17" TSX rims.
Does anyone have experience on the bolt pattern/wheel offset with these OEM rims?
TIA

I have a 05 TK automatic - I went with a set of tl takeoffs from an acura dealer. I looked for alternatives but came up with 2 many issues .... best bet was Tire Rack, but they were sold out at the time. The offset and brake location made any online out of area order for wheels a risky proposition - lacking expert help.
Since my wheels hardly saw snow last year, I can't give you a report of how well they worked! But I did buy the Blizzak lm-22 and it seems like a good ride.

Thanks, I am hoping for 16
I am hoping to get 16" to cut through the snow a little more than my 7". I have 2 extra TL rims, which I bought on ebay a while ago to replace a curbed rim. I like the look of the RSX 16", its a 5 spoke rim kinda like the ones we have adn they are not too hard to find. Acura made a lot of RSXs.

Acura OEM 16" rim
Has anyone tried any Acura/Honda OEM 16" rims on their 3G (2005) Auto TL? (w/Nav, although not sure it makes a difference). I need to get some winter tires and would prefer a second smaller set (16")
I checked the Tire spec post, but it addresses larger size rims only (although there was a post regarding 16" snow tires that no one responded to)

I got OEM 99' 16" Alloy Honda Accord Coupe Rims on winter tires...
They fit perfect for my auto 06...They even ride SMOOTHER since there not low profiles...
But, importantly! If yours is manual or upgraded your breake kit you might want to consider the sizing.

I have an automatic 2005 TL, so the bigger brakes on the manual tranny will not be an issue.
Do you know the specs on the Honda wheel? if not, what year and what model wheel?
I am interested in the bolt pattern and the offset. And am hoping to use a set of RSX 5 spokes
16" x 6.5"
5x114.3mm
The TL has a 17"x8" with a 45mm offset.
I believe the OEM 16" RSX wheel has 55mm offset

Bleh, I ordered new all seasons (continental contiextreme contacts) for my stock 17" rims, which were rated highly for snow performance and this will be my winter setup (its not like I need pure snow tires in the dc area). When spring/summer comes around, I'll probably pick up new rims + tires tbd.

If your tires and rims are 16"s or smaller then depending on the rim structure it can rub, scratch, move, damage or shift over the brake kit...
When I tested this... w/ 06' Auto (smaller brake kit) didnt have no problems...
But w/ a 06' Auto w/ Big Brake kit OR 05' Manual (Brembos) it was rubbing and touching the callipars of brakes.
Anyone correct me if im wrong...
