Winter truck tires work on 06 TL?
Can i use 225/70-16 winter tires fit on 2006 TL? Have some from Highlander truck that's not going to be using them. I know i need new rims for mounting them but will they rub or be to narrow?
Have some type of chinese Ling Long L688 summer tires 235/45/17http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...ng_l688_page_3

I wouldn't do this. The overall diameter is going to be 3+" bigger and this is going to throw your speedometer WAY off - registering slower than actual speed. That is more than 10% different. You may wind up with some rubbing issues because again the diameter is bigger and not to mention the circumference of the tire is bigger. You will also want to sanity check that a 16" rim will fit over you brake calipers. If you have a 6sp manual - I do not belive a 16" rim will clear the Brembo calipers.

No. They will not even come close to fitting.

What was i thinking, forget that i wrote about it, so i just thought they are almost new and free so why not.
So now i will keep my Ling Long tires on stock 17" wheels and wait until winter to get Sonny's tyres. Such as these: http://www.sonnytyres.com/Html/en_Pr...D=10&SortID=12 snow tires replacing those china Runway tires with V groove. I have these Sonny tyres WOT 18 on my CL really nice. Only problem is they don't have the correct size for my TL.
Then look to get some 18" 8" wide Assanti wheels with Continental Extreme Contacts DW for the summer. Such as these. http://www.gtatires.ca/catalog/popup_image.php?pID=2881
Ordered some Conti'nental DW's for my 98 CL for the summer should keep me from sliding on heavy braking when it's raining as my old blemished Eco A/S Continentals have little tread on them.
