Winter Tires

Anyone have any suggestions for good winter tires? Live in Nebraska and the wife had some issues again this morning with snow and ice. Would you only buy two for the front or all four?

Hate snow and ice...need to move south!

Do a search .. been covered a few times ,... and you need 4 or the rear end just goes in the ditch first.

agreed, 4 or none. 2 is a waste and could be dangerous. it is a rule that if you need to get new tires and you only get two those two should go on the rear, for FWD or RWD. there are a number of threads that discuss tires, just search. i picked up a set of the Xice Xi2's a year or two ago and have been very happy. good luck!

Ya you really need to get all 4 new tires. Also, I have always had good luck with Bridgestone Blizzak winter tires. Have a set for 2 cars.

I'm looking for some on 06 TL 225/45/17 four at a price $530cnd installed. Made in China H rated mechanic says i don't need 235/45/17 it would be no need. Had Sonny's put on last year on my CL they are Y rated and are so far the best i seen. Take a look at there website http://www.sonnytyres.com/Html/en_Pr...D=10&SortID=12

Don't be fooled by advertising china makes some good rubber for winter driving. You can save a lot of cash doing so. My only concern is that i would prefer 235/45/17 winter tire rather then 225/45/17 that most china manufacturer's make.
If you want to spend more cash try NOKIAN winters find they are made in sweden so they got a lot of snow there so they must make some great tires expensive to be sure. Or just get some pricey blizzaks and after a couple winters the treadwear can be used as an all season tire, waste of money if you ask me.
