If your TL has an Automatic Transmission without Brembo Brakes or some aftermarket Big Brake Option, you can downsize to 16 " steel rims for the winter.
Some Acura Dealers offer Acura OEM Steel Rims for $50 each and then you can select a 215/55-16 or 205/60/16. The 60 Series will be narrower and better in slushy conditions.
For Manual Transmission Equipped TL or one retroffited with Big Brakes or Brembo option, you will be limited to use 17" winter tires to fit your wheels.
I personnally have an A/T TL and bought 4 OEM steel rims from my local dealer and also 4 205/60-16 Nokian Hakkapelliitaa RSI Winter tires for $973.12CDN including the Tire Recycling Tax of $3.00 per tire and GST & PST.
