they will clear the brakes. but overall wheels will sunken in the fender if you are dropped. i suggest getting (4) 25mm spacers that bolt on top of stock studs. this will provide you with wider stance and more flushed with the fenders.

stock height here...i'm thinking with the +38 offset that they will stick out a touch more than stock wheels, correct?

if so thats all i want, to have a very similar look to the stockies.

thanks for the info!!

they will stock out 7mm more than stock wheels.
stock 17x8 +45
your CE 18x8 +38

get 235/40, will be a little meaty, 225 will be barely stretching and will expose the edge of rim depending on tire brand.

I would think 25mm spacers would cause for some rubbing if you were to drop it.

I think you could go up to 255's without rubbing with that high of an offset.

it wouldn't because the wheels are only 8s to begin with plus dropping it will cause cambering so it will clear the fenders.

255 is too fat for an 8in width. that is considered "monster truck" meaty...

I'm on stock 8inch wide wheels with 235 tires running a 15mm spacer. The back tire is slightly tucked and theres about 10mm clearance to the fender. Running a 25mm spacer will be pushing it I think, but it would be VERY close especially running a 245 or 255 tire on those rims. I would say experiment with washers on the studs before purchasing any size spacer.
