Will Coilovers help?
Not sure if it's the age of my suspension or the design.. My 07 type s is the first acura I've owned. The car has around 76k.When I take rather aggressively, the car squats mildly. I figure that a little squat is normal. I am planning on some Spec 2's sometime this year will that remedy the issue? Basically I want to plant all traction up front.

so what do you wanna do? what's the goal?

So you don't want traction in the rear? That's not a good thing.
You might, simply, just need new shocks. If you plan to change the springs as well, then you need to decide what set up fits your needs better. Whether that be shocks and springs or coilovers, that is your decision.

how long have you had the car? since how many miles? have you noticed the ride quality degrade over time? does the suspension have a lot of play in it? bouncy? floaty?
you gotta help us out here and be a little more descriptive about the issue.

Only had the car a few months, suspension seems to be tight. No play in steering other than the fact that the dealership put crappy knock off tires on it. I don't feel that contributes to the way the car lifts in the front though. I mainly wonder if its normal wear and tear more over improvement than repair.

First, replace the tires with something "better". See how the car drives. Second, put an upgraded rear sway bar on the car. See how the car drives again. If it's still not to your liking, upgrade the suspension. The RSB really helps with understeer. In fact, it changes the way the car turns like night and day.

So does it squat in the rear or lift in the front? If it lifts in the front, you need shocks with more rebound stiffness. A set of Konis will nearly eliminate this problem.

Koni Sport (yellow) is a great choice because they are height and rebound adjustable, they are also able to be rebuilt. shox dot com has a great price on them.

Exactly, that's whats happening. Sorry it took soo long to drag it out of me. It lifts during take off. my ultimate plan was to go with coil overs hopefully mid summer. I wanted to make sure when i did, that I would be in the ballpark for improving the ride.
