Will 9.5" wide rims work on my Type S?

Will 9.5" wide rims work on my Type S?
I've been shopping around for wheels and i found what i wanna go with. Ive decided to go with some AME FS-01 in 19's since i seen a type s with them and they look sick. I was gonna run 19x8.5 +40 but nobody has a complete set for sell. There's a couple of places that got 19x9.5 +40. Will the 9.5 fit and do i need to change the off set since i'm going with a wider rim?

im running 18x9.5 with 40 mm offset and 245 tire. have a slight rub in the back. Almost none but its there. Im gonna have to roll the fenders and put 255's when the time comes. Im on A-spec suspension. So a slight modification is needed to fit them. But more aggressive is gonna look so much better

No, a 9.5 rim isn't too wide at all. BukvaMan might be able to help you out more with how the 9.5 rims and +40 offset looks as far as how close it sits to being flush with the fender. You may also need to run a 235 tire instead of 245 depending on if you don't mind having a slightly stretched tire, how much you lower the car, and if you don't want to roll the fenders.

mine are as i said 9.5 with 40 offset and in my eyes its perfectly flush with the fender. I wouldn't run 235 tire as that would not look good and would be stretched a little to much in my opinion and for normal use not very safe. some may have a different opinion on that but thats just me. 245 is stretched a little bit also but 255 would be perfect on a 9.5 rim. So rolling fender just a little would make it work without a problem i think. My next move by the way as my tires are getting ready to be replaced.

Let me give u a reality check^^^^and dnt take it wrong...if u want a flush set up on a 9.5 wheel ur offset in the rear would need to be et25 and in the front an et30..if u have a decent drop like I do u will need to run 3degrees of camber all the way around and a 225/35/19 tire...if u truly want a stanced ride this is what it takes...9.5 with a 40 offset is not flush...P.S a fender roll is a must...
Also u are probaly thinking flush as in tires with fenders..but the term flush is lip of rim with fender...and no 9.5 is not to wide...in my opinion its the perfect width...a 235/35 tire on a 9.5 is a slight stretch nothing unsafe...hope this helps

I agree with you but the O.P. mentioned that he wasn't into any extreme means of a flush setup. I said judging by my setup with that same spec, at least to me it looks very flush. i dont really mean by putting up a level next to it

BukvaMan, the pic you post is pretty much what in looking for but i dont really want to run stretch tires and no negative camber. im sitting at stock ride height for now but i do plan on lower it with an A Spec suspension or coilovers once its paid off. do i need to roll my quarters if i run 19x9.5 +40?

The tire being 245 is stretched just a little, almost nothing really. I mean the a-spec rims in 8.5 wide come with 235 tire from factory. so 245 on 9.5 is not that bad. 255 tire would be perfect. If you ask me i would roll them slightly and do 255 all around. Thats what i am going to do soon...

Im lowered 1.5" and my rims are 19 x 9.5 et 20 on all 4 corners with 235 35 19
My rear fenders are rolled and I dont rub front or rear. Rides perfect
Also im running -1* camber upfront and -2* camber in the rears
