Will 225/45/18's fit?

I know for sure that people with 225/40/18 with at least +50 offset and H&R lowering springs have no rubbing issues but does anyone have the (225/45/18) extra rubber on their tires? I have the H&R sport springs now but I'm planning on getting the Volk Racing LE37T's on a 18X7.5 inch rim with +48 offset and I want that tire size(225/45/18) versus (225/40/18) due to road conditions. Does anyone HAVE this setup? Any suggestions???

With that high of an offset...u shouldn't have to worry about rubbing issues....i have a +42 offset on 18 x 7.5 rims and I stopped rubbing after trimming the fender...but with that high of an offset....i dont think u need to worry.....btw...post pics asap!

You'll be fine. I'm on 18x8 +50 with 225/40s and I don't rub at all. I've got an extra 1/2" on you and only 2 mm more offset.

Don't worry bout it.

I had 225/45/18's on a set of HT3 Mille Miglia's (18/7/+45) and they rubbed on bumps in the rear without a drop. I know some other people with the same exact numbers didn't have any problems, so it depends on the tires you get too. I had Bridgestone Potenza's and apparently, they bulged out enough on the sides to rub. I even had my fenders rolled, and it still rubbed. Go by what others have in terms of the actual tires since their width (225mm) isn't always how 'wide' the tire is, but more like how much tread is exposed.

ckNJ it's not just the tire width, it's the offset of the rims as well. You could run 205 tires but if they're on a +35 offset wheel they're gonna rub.

Just saying that the numbers don't always guarantee a no-rub fit. Combo of good offset and tire brand are the best way to evaluate. The 'spec' sticky is really helpful when checking.
