Will 215/50/R17 work with 3G TL stock 17s?

Looking at bridgestone blizzaks and they are 215/50. Would this be a good idea to have them on the stocks? I plan to use them strictly in the winter or whenever it starts to snow. Any insight would be great, thanks.

will they fit on the rims, yes. they're about .1 inches taller overall so the speedo wont be off by much. but they are much thinner and may give a stretched tire look.

If you look at the Blizzak specs for a 215/50-17 tire, the recommended wheel width is 6"-7.5", the TL is 8".

They are a fit for the wheel width, but are a little small in height, especially for winter when one woiuld want the car to ride higher. The OE 235/45-25.3" and the 225/45-25". But they will work.

My tires are 225/45/17 because I had these rims originally on my Legend and anything over 225 would rub. I need 18's and a drop badly though its hard to look at these pictures.
