Will an 18x9 wheel work? ASAP

I'm looking at buy some Liquid Metal F5 (silver) wheels with a machine lip. They come in a 18x8 and 18x9. I would like to get a wider stance if at all possible. They do not make an 18x8.5. The sales agent pulled up a fitting guide and the 18x9 is a fit for my 06 NBP TL in the computer. Will this work? Also will it work with a 245/40-18 tire?

It all depends on the offset

I'm sorry for not posting that. The offset is 45mm. The price is the same for an 8" or 9" width wheel.

45mm offset for the 18X9
38mm offset for the 18x8

Both offsets will work fine, 18x9 wheels you can put wider tires like 265's but if you want 245's 18x8 in 38 offset will work as well.

Will the 18x9 cause any issues with the 245/40-18 series tire mounted? Any known issues?

no.. 245 is a good size for a 9" wheel, shouldnt rub either, unless the wheels stick out too far...

alot of people, especially with ronjons, are on an 8.5 wheel, +42 w/ 245 tires.. no rubbing...

+3mm = 1/8" inch... so expect these wheels to stick out 1/3" more then the ronjons...

Does it benefit to go with a 18x9 over an 18x8? Also I have Eibach springs on my car, which lowers it 1 inch, will this be an issue?

Go for 18x9 45 offset and 265/35x18 tires.
