whos slammed??

Just wanted to get a quick consensus of those who have their cars lowered....how much of a drop do you have and do you have any problems with daily driving?

Also I notice that most people are rockin the tein set-up, any particular reason.

Thanks guys!!!

Im dropped on Koni yellows, on the 3rd perch out of 4, not exactly "slammed" but my tires are starting to slice up in the front, mostly just the passenger side for some reason, can only imagine if i went all the way down. Only problem with daily driving is you have to be careful of unpaved roads, steep driveways, and parking, ive seen a lot of people slam there front bumper into the curb when parking.

Yo wanderer, I just picked up a set of Koni SP3s. I see you aren't running any camber kits... how low are you?

BTW, I'm confused. You say you're running Koni Yellows, which have 3 perches but your sig says you're running the Neuspeed Super Cup kit (Koni SP3s right?) which have 5 perches.

Slammed crew checkin in. I am maxed out on tein basics dumped on 19's. I have rocked numerous cars lowered so daily driving isn't out of the ordinary for me. Just like any other time driving just have to watch out for inclines at places, dips, potholes, uneven surfaces or anything else. Other than that its not that bad.

I am lowered, umm max drop on tein is what 2.75"? That would be me up front, then 2.25 in the back.

Drive over 100 miles a day, not too many issues, rolled and pulled fenders front and rear.

Be careful on dips, parking lots, driveways, turning while hitting a dip (that gets me all the time)....

I just put my new wheels on about 2 weeks ago, and the front passenger side is missing some chunks from rubbing.but I was dropped a few months on my 18s with minimal signs of camber wear.

I thought the front couldn't be rolled, only the rear. Will the front camber kit solve my problems of my tires slicing and rubbing?

Yea I'm wanting to lower mine but I don't know the best way about it. Should u use camber kits no matter the size of the drop? Also TheWanderer you talk about your tires rubbing, do you think 235-40-18 will have that problem of rubbing?

Lastly what is rolling the fenders? Sorry new term too me

Well when i had my 18s, my tire size was 225/40/18 and had no rubbing issues ever, so IMO you'll be fine depending how low you go.

I'm dropped roughly 1 3/4" front, 1 1/2" rear. I scrape once in awhile, just the lower strake, plastic air deflector on the bottom behind the bumper cover. I'm rocking the H&R coilovers and Ingalls rear camber kit only, set to match the front camber angle. The ride is great. No finger gap w/ OEM wheels/tires.

Not slammed, but as low as I want to go for a DD in my area.

Oh its possible to roll anything with a lip!!! hahaha, but yeah you can roll the front fenders. That is what is slicing your tires right up, get them rolled, becareful though, if they dont do it right, they will end up getting your front fenders pulled out from the pressure that is applied by the rolling machine.

If you wanna do it yourself, get yourself a 2x4, and some channel locks. Place the 2x4 on the outside of the fender, and then squeeze the lip closed.
confusing enough? haha

Dont be worried about camber, be worried about Toe, thats what will eat through your tires like none other.

Fender rolling is the method in which to roll the inside lip of the fender round so that it does not slice the tires or rub against tires

I'm dropped on Tein SS, Maxed Out... no more thread on the sleeves front and rear. The only problem I have is vibration at low rpm, roughly 2-3k rpm. I do have a rear camber kit and no front camber. camber wears are minimum.

Im maxxed out on Tein SS and love it. Im on 19's and the tires are tucked a little bit. and as mentioned above, I need my front fenders rolled because im started to get little slices on the fronts as well. Oh well, its all worth it to constantly hear "oh my god, your car is so low!"

Damn ILLustriousUA6, how low are you??

OK so let me try to understand this:
Koni Yellows - 3 perches
Koni SP3s - 5 perches
Tein Basics - 1.7" F and R
Tein SS - 1.7" F and R

Anyone know the max drop height for the Konis? I couldn't find them.

Also, whats the difference between ride drop height and adjustable range?
http://www.erzperformance.com/product_p/dsa80-luss2.htm

Why does the adjustable range go lower than the ride drop height?

^ Ah ok. Makes a little sense.

Whats the max drop for the 2 types of Konis? Does it depend what springs are on there? No right?

FYI, I got Eibachs on the SP3s.

Yea koni's can handle any kind of drop up to 3", so it all depends on the springs.

It seems like the springs wouldn't contribute too much to the drop height since you can just keep compressing them... oh well. I'm never gonna be at 3".... or will I

^ Basics or SS? Damn you! Looks so good.

I'm assuming you aren't using any camber kits (I don't see them in your sig)?

I'm on SP3's fifth perch and neuspeed accord sports springs. I have no wheel gap, but my front tires are starting to show some inner wear.
