they are a G35driver sponsor/vendor so i'm sure they are pretty reputable. they also carry a nice variety of upscale rims, so it looks like they won't be as shady as wheelmax, etc. hope this helps

I believe if you review the last few pages of the Ray's thread, NCSU reported a very BAD experience when trying to get a set of GT-Ss ordered from them...

I'd PM RSW and use his wheel source.

I tried getting some wheels from them and they said that it would take a month to get... so I called another place and I got them in two days... I think that they are using customers as CASH FLOW... IMO

Stay away from them, even us G35driver members are having trouble with them.

I ordered my wheels from them in Nov. of 2006 and just got them this month and I still don't have any center caps. They said it would be 90 days till I would get them and they kept telling me it would be longer then they finally told me they had never been ordered about 4.5 months after ordering them. They said they would give me a refund and never did and ignored my emails and phone calls. I had to say my name was something else just to talk to the manager and still then I didnt get much done until I got the better business bureau into it. Then I finally did enough fussing with them they sent me some wheels without center caps. So I would not suggest them but do what you want.

I knew it was too good to be true. They have some cheap ass wheels. 19'' Volks and Mayas for hundreds less per wheel.

Yeah I still have not received my center caps for my wheels yet and they kept promising them to be here just like they did my wheels and they didn't come until I kept calling them and hassling with them, so I guess I'll have to do that again.

That sucks man... I called them yesterday just to check on some prices. The guy I spoke with seemed a little wishy washy. He thought he had certain wheels in stock. Others he said he would have to order but would only take 7-10 days. He just didn't seem to know for sure what he was taling about.

If you're looking for Volks.

www.gruppe-s.com - They we're bought by Dynamic Autosport, which is approved Vendor from Mackin... and thier prices were less than wheelsdirectonline. ($2300 delivered for 19 x 8.5 gunmetal GT-Ss).
WDO lists a 19x8 Gt-s for $2338 shipped, but the price goes up with that extra 1/2in cost more.

Legit too. They took a while to get, but I got em. Good communication, straight shooters. They promised 90 days. At 100 days I asked for a refund. They called Japan and had them airfreight them over here. They took care of all the customs and transaction fees ($200 plus air freight costs!).

Needless to say, either the markup is that much on Volks, or these guys took a loss making me happy.

FYI, I did notice on the BAX Global bill of lading (air freight document) that the declared value on my package was $400! Now that could be "just a number" to keep import taxes low... but wouldnt it be funny if that's what a set of Volks cost from Rays, plus shipping and import costs... that's probably another $400 =$800 - Sell them for $2300. That's 300% markup.

This is all assumption based though.

I doubt they're $400, but I'm sure they're nowhere near $2,300...I'd estimate $1,200 with import taxes/fees and shipping. The mark up on wheels is ridiculous...yes it's good product, but there's also a name you're paying for...plus two middlemen (Mackin and the vendor). And just think, $2,300 is a lot cheaper than a lot of other retailers would sell them for.

From the Ray's Volk Racing Official pic thread...

JD's mad at me because I haven't taken the time to wash the car and take some better pics. These'll do, but don't give you an idea of how hott they are.

Revolution Signworks has some sexy gold GT-Ss on his WDP, and his are even more stunning due to his ordering the wrong size offset = his have a deeper lip... but he had to run spacers to make em work. I like his gold, but it's a little to flashy for me. The gunmetal ties all the dark pieces together (TL-S tails, black chrome grill, a-spec lip lower...etc.)

Would like to see a set of GT-S in RMC on a TL, even though I am not a chrome person.

The gold looks so sweet, especially if the car is white with tan leather interior.

I think the gunmetal or silver GT-S looks best with grey or ebony interior.

No way am I paying an extra $150 PER WHEEL for RMC... and that's what it costs.

Man I hate to keep fussing about this dealer but they suck!! I have been promised my center caps now for about a month and they are still giving me the run around and I have been speaking with the manager, he keeps promising them to me and they never get here.

I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST TO USE THIS WHEEL DEALER (WHEELSDIRECTONLINE.COM)

THEY SUCK!!!

I hate to keep bashing them but they deserve it, its almost going to be a year since I ordered every thing from them and started this whole mess.

I tried to get that forever when they told me that my order was never placed and they said that they would, but i never saw one. I kept bugging them about my refund and they finally gave me a set of wheels that I wanted but with no center caps and i still haven't gotten them yet.

Yeah I used my credit card and tried to file a dispute but you can't do one after 60 days and since it takes about ninety to receive the wheels it was to late to file a dispute.

man, i feel for you, its hella frustrating when people dont even bother to keep you in the loop and give you the run around.

I wont be shopping with them anytime soon, can you file anything with BBB? does that even effect .com companies?

I did contact the better business bureau and they helped me out a little bit, but they didn't really do much but get into contact with them and tell them that their was an upset customer. I don't know if they did anything concerning their reputation or anything but I wish they could.

So where would you guys recommend buying wheels from? I went to wheelguyz, but they're site isn't too hot I really want to know how much each wheel weighs and pricing for "each" wheel.

For Volks, I had a good experience with www.gruppe-s.com
Took a while to get them (100 days), but they kept me in the loop, and hooked me up when I lost my patience.
