Spring is in the air and it times for some rims! So I went to wheel max and looked around found a pair of kaizer phnx 3's. so I called them up and asked some questions. immedately I was steped up to a more exspensive package 215's instead of 205's . does this make sense? or am I crazy? the offset was 40 on 17" rims ,is that good? I dont want any rubbing

You will rub even with 205 tires.

you should have atleast +42 offset on a 17 inch rim +45 on a 18 inch and +50 on a 19 inch rim.

as for tire size the 225 is what you want in a 17 or 18 and a 235 in a 19 for rubbing issue.
