Wheel weight

15 lbs? Uh, no. Motegi Traklites are 14lbs. and Enkei RPF01's are 15.6lbs (both at 17 inch) which are both considered lightweight racing wheels. Stock base are 25.6lbs. iirc. Type S are slightly lighter, 23lbs or so.
Edit: And you're wise in considering lightweight wheels. They're one of the best investments I've made relating to performance. Losing 10 lbs. of dynamic weight per corner helps a lot in handling and freeing up power. Check out the Motegi's and Enkei's I mentioned above. 18 inch looks best on the TL but go 17 if you're serious about function over form. They don't look as good and don't fill the wheel well as nicely, but they're lighter.

^ Naa, Tim's got me beat. His Traklite's are 1lb. less than mine . But those Motegi's are $100 more per wheel. Couldn't see spending that for 1 lb each. Tim's rollin on dubs though. He spent like $2000 on just his exhaust. And $1000+ on those racing seats....

Most aftermarket wheels in the same size as oem may be lighter depending on how they are manufactured. If you are looking into these types of wheels, you should consider paying much more i.e. forged or flow formed casted/rotary forged wheels. Casted wheels such as RPF1 are much lighter than their oem sized counterparts.
