Wheel/Tire Warranty
Does anyone have the Acura wheel and tire warranty verbiage? Mine is not readily accessible and I wanted to know exactly what they do and don't cover.
I dropped by the dealership today to make a claim for rim and tire damage. I just bought new Falkens 1 week ago and cut a piece out of both sidewalls on the driver’s side and had surface damage to the lips of the rims.
The dealership is going to talk to the warranty company and plead my case and either replaces the rims or has them repaired, along with replacing the tires. Of course the dealership stated if they replace tires they are not sure if they can replace the Falkens or not. I've only got 300 miles on them. The cut in the sidewall is in the part of the sidewall that protrudes and there is no inner cords showing or air leaking.
The rims are not cracked or warped but the pounding they took was enough to gouge the metal possibly compromising the bead. At least that is what the dealership is going to plea. I'd of course would like to see them replaced.
What have other people with the warranty experienced with pot-holed rims and tires?

Just got called by the delaership and they informed me that the warranty company will replace my rims (with the original a-spec 18"/8.5" rims) and they will replace the Falken tires with matching Falkens ST115's.
WOW...they told me the rims, tires, installation will run almost $1,200. That warranty just paid for itself 3 fold.
WOW...Acura came through for me!!! I read the other threads about limited availabilty of the rims. I guess we now need to see how long it takes to get them.

Good to hear...
I got the 3 year warranty as well and it supposedly covers the Yoko's and A-Spec only. When I asked about scratches to the wheel, the finance manager told me to just ram a pot hole really hard!

Rims and Falken tires were replaced. I walked out, no money out of pocket, the actual replacement cost was just under $1,200. $140 for each Falken, so about $920 for 2 rims.
This was done last Monday so it took them about 2-3 days, most of the time waiting on tires.
Yeah!
I was warned that the "gunmetal colored rims" are no longer produced. Which I already knew and told the service rep that the A-Spec 8.5" rims are not longer produced, not just the color.
