Wheel for Stock TL

Hi, I have a 06' Acura TL currently using OEM Rims and was wondering if the size of the rim on tirerack.com for 17" tires fit all tires.

Such as:

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialP artNumber=AR17E12BML&wheelMake=ASA&wheelModel=AR1& wheelFinish=Black+w%2FMach+Lip&showRear=no&autoMak e=Acura&autoModel=TL&autoYear=2006&autoModClar=Aut omatic+Transmission&filterSize=17&filterFinish=All &filterSpecial=false&filterBrand=All&filterNew=All &sort=Brand

or

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand

If that fits my stock tires.

Thanks

You see where it says, "Rec. Tire Size: 235/45-17". That the optimal tire size and it is the same size as the OE tires.

Also, fyi, the stock wheel size is 17 x 8 and the offset is +45. Where it gets dicey is if you have the OE Brembo brakes or an after market BBK.

Other sizes fit (both other tire sizes and other wheel sizes) and Tire Rack is pretty conservative - if they say it'll fit, they'll be right the vast majority of the time. A lot of people swear by 255/40 R 17.

Finally, select a particular tire on Tire Rack. Then go to the SPECS link. That will show you the range of rim widths *recommended* for that tire.

If you're car has the factory "ACURA" Brembo brakes or an after market Big Brake Kit (BBK - they're a couple thousand dollars - you'll know if you've got it) then spoke design and back space become important.

With base brakes, pretty much any 17 x 8 with a +45 offset (down to +38 *I think*) will fit fine.

If you have a 2005 (?) or older, you're wheels will need TPMS or you'll get an error on the dash "dummy" light. You can either get new sensors and mount them or transfer your current sensors.

I know it's the early morning hours, but I believe he meant to say, if the TL is a 2005 or older, no TPMS installed, but 2006 and newer has the system. As you have a '06, then either switch the sensors over, buy new sensors, or ride with the TPMS error light lit.

Anyone know where I can get those gun metal stock type-s rims besides from the Acura dealership since they cost like 400 a piece or anywhere that sells them cheaper. Been looking in the black market haven't found any

Thanks for the correction. I meant "or newer", but wasn't sure which year TPMS was introduced.

I may be getting a deal with someone for some enkeis and some 18" wheels. Buying them as a pair should I need to know anything else of how it fits besides 5x114.3?
