Wheel Repair man came today

My A-spec wheels started to fade and it had some curb damage around the rim. I looked up a mobile wheel repair service that comes to you. He came by 12 ish and just finished two of my rims so far and two more to go

Here are a few pictures from earlier. Tell me what you guys think.

Before being resurfaced and repainted

Finished product

Yeah... I'm going to need to do this to my stockies sometime in the next couple years, plus replace the center caps, which are fading.

How much did that set you back for all four?

almost worth it to buy new wheels at that price and just use the old ones for the winter or sell them.

well I figured getting them repainted and resurfaced would be a good deal. On ebay the set sells for $1200-$1400.

+1. It is definitely NOT worth it to buy a new set of wheels.

I didnt read that they were aspecs (cant see pics at work), in which case its probably better to do the refurbishment. If they were the base stockies its pretty easy to find a set in good condition for cheap. used aspecs in good condition are becoming more rare.

OP the wheels look great man! I need to get my A-Spec's redone sometime soon. I was considering just getting them powdercoated instead of painted.

I've used those guys before. It is REALLY convenient how they just come to you and do everything right there. Cost to repair is a little steep but still better than buying new rims....of course their price is specifically selected for this reason. They are professional though and they definately know what they are doing (they do all the wheel work for most Orlando body shops).

OP, are your rims gunmetal??....pics are kind of foggy. If they are gunmetal did he already have a gunmetal paint match available? On second thought you got all four painted so you probably wouldn't be able to notice if the color was a bit different.

Did he paint the insides of the rims also??......Did he pull the balancing weights off to paint the insides? I've seen bad paint jobs where the balancing weights chip off some paint when they're pulled off for rebalancing.....Hope that doesn't happen to you, although i'm sure they would honor a warranty in that case.

Would you mind posting better pics where the finished product can be better appreciated?

Sorry for all of the questions.....i'm just close to calling them again for that same exact wheel.
