Post Wheel question (Offset)

for a 17" x 7" what should the offset be and
a 17"x 8" what should the offset be, thanks

IMO, +45 or higher on 7" width and +50 or higher on 8" width.

Socal is right. The wider the rim the higher you will need the offset to be to compensate.

If you do 7 inch, though, you could drop down to 42 if you drop the car conservatively. (no more than 2 inches)

Is it possible to put 17x7 wheels with a 40 offset on the TL if there's only a 1.5" drop on the car?
