wheel locks

Just curious on where you keep (if you are using them) your key for your wheel locks?
If you drop your car off for service, is there a place the mechanic expects to find it in, such as the glove compartment, or attached to the tire jack handle?
I threaded mine initially, thru the space in the jack handle, and then realized you need to cut the plastic, everytime, you want to use it.
So, what do you do with yours?

Thanks

They typically have a master set anyway... But for the most part, I suggest letting the service advisor know where it is.

Believe it or not there are supposedly only 12 different sets of wheel locks. I had my Turanzas replaced by the dealer and I neglected to tell them that the master was in the trunk. The Service Advisor told me not to worry as they have all 12 masters!!

^^ same thing happend to me. And about the stealing of rims, I think anywhere is really fine if u have stock rims. Yes it is tru theifs will look in ur glove compartment but I don't think they want your stock rims that bad.

Well to hear it from a rep at the dealership, they suggest that you keep one in the trunk, one in the glovebox and one at home. Now was the rep bucking for additional revenue? Your guess is good as mine.
