Wheel adapters

Is there such a thing? I "THINK" iv'e read somewhere that people run/make wheel adapters, such as, our car's bolt pattern 5x114 and I wanted to get a rims thats 5x120, Do they make such a thing? and how dangerous would this be?

yes there is however they are 25mm minimum.....i was planning on running some ALT wheels, but they will not fit since they are like 19x9.5 +36 already, and with the 25mm on top, offset would be lik....+11...lol

BTW, is that dangerous? or is the same thing as simply running a spacer? I have a baby on the way and i dont want to to anything to dangerous to my car
