hello i just bought 2 sets of rims for my tl. the first set are 18x7.5, and the second set is 20x7.5. ( i know they are thinner than stock, but it though i would be able to have more options with the tire. here are the links

what the widest i could go one each tire that will fit and without rubbing? also the offset on the rims are 40mm on both and i am not dropped, im stock 07 tl base nbp. thanks any help is appreciated.

Widest you can go on a 7.5" rim (according to the tires specs on Tire Rack) is a 225.

okay so ive had my 07 tl going on two years now in september and feel like its been too long that it hasn't gotten any mods so far. so i bought two sets of rims; 18's and 20s. they are both 7.5 inches wide adn was wondering is there anything bad that can happen by going with a narrower rim since the stock size is 17x8?

also what would be the widest (safely) i could go on both of them? i at least wanted to do at least a 235 on both to keep the same width as stock.

also im not dropped (stock), 07 base tl nbp. any ideas? also what size tires would you recommend for both?

the black ones are the 18's and the black w/machine face are the 20s. thanks just looking to slap these on the car already.

7.5 means I wouldn't go much wider than 225. Why buy 2 sets that dont really properly fit a TL? Sell em and get some 19 x 8.5 front and 19 x 10 rear!

cuz i worked out a deal for 600 for both sets. they are slightly used but still good. and also they were exactly the styles i was looking for. theres no harm running a thinner rim right or is there?
