well this is my first post. and i apologize if this has been talked bout somewhere else.if it has jus let me kno where so i can look at it there. but ive been lookin at wheels for my 04 tl auto. the wheel ive decided on was the sevas S-55. but since they only come in a 40 offset ...1. i would either have to get a 255 and do the strechd tire thing. ... or 2. get the rim shaved to tuck it in the wheel well more . so im asking u guys opinion thanx

 

oh and one more thing. i also want to drop the car.and the guy is tellin me to get the tein ss coilover kit instead of the basic .cuz he says imma bottom out with the basic becuz you cannot adjust the damper on them like u can with the ss ... would also appreciate ur thoughts on that too

 

yea if you got the money go with the ss. it doesnt make sense to spend all that money on coilovers and not get the ss. as for the wheel, shave them?!? i dont think ive ever heard of anybody shaving their wheels to make them fit. i wouldn't do that.

 

what they would do is shave bout 5mm off of the mountin surface of the wheel which would in turn move the will into the wheels alil more to clear the outside fender .. and i could also fit a 275 on . but is i dont kno if its safe

 

Yes, you can have a machine shop shave 5mm off the back of the wheel face. Slammed_JDM did it with his Sevas. It's no problem whatsoever.
