What are the stock Tires on a 06 TL?
So I've done some searching but not found a definitive answer.
I know in my reasearch about TL issues before buying many people were mentioning bridgestones and this being the possible source of vibration/flat spotting issues.
I didn't even think to check on the type of tire when I picked it up Saturday but just noticed that they are Michelin Pilots. Are those now stock on the 06 TLs? Are they better than the bridgestones?
Exactly what is the model of the stock tires most people are seeing/getting on 06 TLs?
Thanks

I think the concensus on any board would be that the Michelin Pilots are a much better tire than the Bridgestone EL-42's.
With that said, my '04 6MT came with the "crappy" EL-42's and I haven't encountered any noteworthy problems with my tires and I now have 22K on them.
Your mileage may vary.

06 Nav should have the Michelins, non-Nav has the Bridgestones. I've seen this on a number of forums, and my dealer told me the same thing when I first looked at the tires on the car to see if they were Michelin's. He said if an 06 Nav has Bridgestone, somebody swapped out the tires...

My 06 w/Navi came with the Michelin Pilots. The 06 loaner I'm driving today (non-navi) has the Bridgestone EL42s. With 3k on the loaner, the Bridgestones really aren't as bad as everyone says they are, however, the car itself feels more out of control..."loose"...than mine...I took it on a ramp today kind of on the fast side and found myself having to brake more than I would in mine...perhaps it's the a-spec suspension and CT RSB though making more of a difference than the tires.
