I am planning on changing my rims and tires soon. I have the rim picked out already and i am now looking for tires.

But the stock Type-S wheels and tires are like brand new. The dealer had just installed a new set of wheels about 2 weeks before I purchased the car. I've had this car for about 2 months. So the tires are just about 3 months old.

The rims are in great condition, just one has a small curb rash. Nothing a rim repairer cant fix.

So what should i do?
Should i sell my stockies along with the TPMS or keep them for the winter time?

Depending on the style of the new wheels. Some wheels are "all season" and some "summer" only.

 

If you can afford to keep the wheels/tires, that's the best decision, then purchase new wheels in the size and finish you want, along with the tire size and type you desire. Both the TL and our 2008 knock around car have chrome wheels and wider tires, and they are replaced every winter with the OE.

 

OK guys cool i will be keeping the OE Type-S wheels and tires. I just bought a new set of 4 TPMS sensors. Now for the rims and then the tires.

I will be going for the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires with RJ rims. it will be a while before everything is said and done.

I have to change the color of the RJ's that i am getting because he doesnt sell them in 18". They are the Legends.

I am getting the Vredestien's because i have heard nothing but good thing about it. i have seen them on youtube also. i know that may sound corney but they rock.
