What Rims On the BMW in "The Transporter"
Can anyone tell me what the type or brand of rims that were on the main car/black BMW that was used in the beginning of the movie? I want to buy them if I can find them.
Thanks for any input.

I was trying to figure that out as well, but haven't been able to find them, they look most like the HP EVO's, but they aren't them exactly.

Given its a BMW, I would say the rims are either made by Hartge or SC Schnitzer

Mmmmmm... Anthracite
I was watching it this weekend and tried to make out the rim manufacturer, but the center cap was replaced. 80% sure they were BBS. I think BBS has made wheels for BMW in the past, so they might have been stock.

Change the car to black and try the BBS RX. German car, they most likely used german rims, hence BBS.

Ak Ting Up
Rim Blooper in Movie
When Frank is shown removing his spare wheel from the trunk of the car, it appears to be a standard BMW alloy wheel (From a 740 series I believe). Then, when he is first lifting his car with the jack, the car has the standard BMW alloy wheel already installed on it, yet in the next shot where he removes the wheel, the it is his own aftermarket wheel that he is removing. He is then shown installing the standard alloy wheel.

Hmm, I don't think the car in the transporter had all the studs around the lip.

Nah, similar, but the spokes on the the BMW would come way out, about a quarter inch past the lip. that is more flat. (maybe I watch the movie too much)

I know these are horrible pics, but I couldnt get my camera out fast enough when I noticed this was in High Definition on HBO Last night. So these shots are of a paused TiVo image on standard cable definition.

The way the parallel spokes are not perfectly parallel makes it look more like the HREs posted on here than the TSWs though.

I actually rented the movie yesterday, because I was curious. They look like BBS' to me, but I don't know what type (if I am correct in the brand guess).

Rip the DVD to the HD
Then Play the Ripped files with PowerDVD (It has a play from HD mode)
in this scene (Dropping the girl off the first time at the bad guys place) you should be able to hit a button in PowerDVD that takes a single frame snapshot (because the ripped version isnt copywritten once its been ripped)

Anyway, those rims were also on the Mercedes Benz S-class on the later part of the movie. You might find the rim's brand on the credits.

I'll look through the credits tonight...I doubt it though. I don't have a DVD ripper maybe I can try and pay more attention this time?
I think some mesh wheels might look good (here are some examples that I was looking at).

So I guess if grabbing my camera from 2 feet away, and walking 5 feet to take 2 pictures is the "extra mile" then I'm all for it!
Thanks for the props tho.

Yes, he did say 735. However there was no 735 that ever had that body style. (the 735 was the body style before) That was a 740. And it was a V12, but it was the only Manual V12 BMW ever made from their factory. So I guess you could call it a 750IL
