What are options for struts on lowered TL's?

Thinking of getting new struts. I have Tein S-Tech's on now and it sounds like one of my struts is already blown. What are my options?
I know Tokico Blues and Koni Sport dampers. Are there other options? Are both of these comparable?

Tokico's are like OEM.

Koni's are a sportier application.

Does this mean that they are designed for stock ride height and will fail quickly if lowered?

Nope, Tokico's are perfect for the Teins. They're good for anything 1.5" and lower.

Koni's have a max tolerance of 3".

I'd say go with the tokico's, since you said in the other thread that you weren't looking for super aggressiveness.

Also, are you sure your shocks are blown? I had the teins on my stock shocks and I know they could've lasted at least 2 years.

if they are blown, they will clunk over bumps. If its just a stiff, bouncy ride, they are fine. Check to see if they are leaking. Btw, did you perfrom an alignment a few miles after the install????, I did mine 100 miles after just to be sure everything was installed correctly and I did'nt have to take things apart again.

Yup, I am sure that the right rear is blown. I have worked with cars most of my life and was a mechanic for 4 years. It clunks pretty bad. Yes I did get it aligned. It's ashame the thing lasted about a month. Before you ask, no I did not scratch the plunger shaft with pliers.

clunking noise from shocks means they are blown?

Shocks, not struts guys. If they were struts up front they would be twice as expensive. I'm not sure why this bothers me so much lol.

My opinion is the Konis are one of the few track capable shocks. They're not artificially harsh but they damp wheel and body movement flawlessly. I've always thought the stock TL suspension was great for 60mph and below maneuvers but it got floaty over bumps after that. The Konis add a much more stable feeling at high speeds but barely increase harshness (depending on what setting you're on).

Anyone ever try KYB on a TL? I had them on a Grand Am GT and they seemed to do well, more popular with american cars I suppose you could say.
