What does the A Spec suspension feel like?
Hey, all I'm having a love/like relationship with my 3GTL.
And I'm thinking of getting rid of it. (I can hear you all now)
Big part of it is the handling and some other reasons.
Can get a some detailed feedback of what to expect
with the A Spec suspension, BTW jit ust got delivered to my house today.
Many Thanks.

I'll be the first to tell you to search the forum there is a bunch of info already posted. I will add however that the A-spec kit is great for the street. The ride is firmer without beating you up. It eliminates bodyroll, helps turn-in and cornering is better in every way. I bought the suspension and put it on myslef. Never told the wife and she never noticed.
However I was dissappointed with the A-spec performance on the track. I took my car out to Hallett Motor Racing circuit for the first time last month and under full-out race mode, it's still a big floaty boat. I had just put on new Toyo T1-R's and expected less body roll and less push. I instructed for the National Prelude meet this year and got to drive a G35 sedan 5AT with stock tires and I hate to say it it's a much better track car. The G35 Coupe 6MT would be the way to go if you wanted a Coupe/Track car.
That being said the A-Spec kit is a must have for spirited street driving. Most people would never consider taking their TL on the track so it's a non-issue for most. I have been road racing on and off for 10 years so I do have a different expectation. I did manage to go faster in one session driving the TL than I did all day in the Mazda Speed Miata (Turbo). :-)

BTW - If you get the A-spec go-ahead and get the Comptech Sway-bar, it has to be disconnected anyway.

I have had the Aspec suspension for about 20,000 miles now ... I love it .. it's literally the perfect ride ... not too harsh... but sporty enough to remind you that you have a sport suspension. In the turns... it's awesome .. i can hug turns extremely tight for a FWD, overweight sedan .. I've impressed many people in my Aspec TL in terms of the handlng (definitely not b/c of the power .. or lack thereof).
I have posted several reviews of my Aspec suspension, here is MY search:

Tons of people commented in this thread, so i can't imagine you have questions outside of those that were discussed. Good luck

Well I guess I look like a newb with only a few posts but I've been lurking for awhile. I also post on the G35driver forum. Which brings me to my point. I orginally was going to purchase '05 G35 Coupe, I get the Nissan VPP discount (invoice + 1%). however the G35 is much smaller and for me to fit in the car I would have to get a base coupe, no sunroof and no Premium and no Nav. A base get a base Coupe VPP for 33.5K. I got the TL 6MT with nav, sunroof and leather for 33.5K and added A-spec, Comptech rear bar and a Comptech Short shifter and Toyo T1-R's. It's still doesn't handle as good as G35 stock.
However the Acura is a great car, I love the TL, it's much more comfortable than the G35. It has many amazing features and tons of head room, but I think to Studogs question it doesn't have the racebred feel of the G35 or BMW. I'm older now so I like having the 4 door sedan for evenings out and I still can take on ramps at 60+. It's great for what it is but don't expect it to out run BMW's, G35's or Porsches. If I was 25 again I's definitly get the G35.

As zguy52 put it in his last post is kind of what I was trying to find out about the A SPEC.
What I should Have asked is how the A Spec is compared to the G & BMW sport suspensions.
(Keeping in mind it is FWD)
I’ve driven plenty of BMWs with and without the M suspension.
(my bro is a Bemer guy) (Also BMWs too $$$$ for the same options)
I’m also a little to big for the seats in the G35 coupe & sedan. I don't think the G35 interior
is as nice as the TL actually I was so disappointed of the G’s interior I didn’t even drive it.
Originally I wanted a Mini Cooper S, the handling in that car is awesome but I couldn’t
fit with my kids in it. I actually fit in the cooper seats better then the G. Yes the Mini is small
but that go kart feel you can’t beat it. If that car was 6” longer I would have gotten it.
The funny thing about the Mini, it’s easier for me to put my kids in it in their car seats
then in my TL.
Never the less on Saturday I had the A Spec & Comptech RSB installed.
Hands down the car is better but I still wish it was tighter. I still haven’t really gotten
on her yet but I am much happier in the over all performance.

Tha's funny that was my exact buying experience. My car choice came down to G35 Coupe, Mini Cooper-S and Acura TL. The Mini was great I actually drove a Cooper Works addition it was awesome but since I'm older I thought I wanted a more mature car. I was completely sold on getting G35 Coupe but after driving the TL and getting a good discount I decided the TL was more family freindly and had a much better interior and driver features and I saved several thousand dollars. The A-spec closes the gap to G35 and BMW and makes a great car even better. The Navigation alone has saved my butt several times as I have been able to find alternate routes during Dallas traffic jams that allowed me to mke several appointments I otherwise would have missed. The stero is good for stock system and I love the XM radio. I am wating till my contract runs out and I will get a bluetooth cell phone so I can be wireless and handsfree.
