One good thing about that wheel, you won't see too many of them because you will probably be the only one in the whole world driving on them.

My friend it looks like you like large overstated chrome Bangers, There's absolutely nothing wrong with that my friend, I dont understand why people dont appreciate the fact that many different people have different tastes . I personally wont be going chrome with my set-up, however I can see what your looking for and here are some suggestions.
Siren Detata
Koatic Z-5
Lsportline Model1
Niche F16
Thats just a taste, hopefully you will find something you like man

Can anyone here recommend a good set of 18" rims. I'm looking for something with no bright crome (least amount of bling possible), yet has a sporty look. I like the OEM A-SPEC rims, except they are crome!

Sweet! I think I may have found a set of gunmetals! Now, the question is what type/brand tire should I use? Since i'm in North Texas and I do travel to Chicago on occasion, i'm thinking about a set of ultrahigh perf all-seasons. I've narrowed it down to three choices:
1. Yokohama AVS dB S2 ($166 per tire at Tire Rack)
2. Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S ($150 per tire at Tire Rack)
3. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ($241 per tire at Tire Rack)
Size choices? 235/40R18 or 245/40R18?
Lastly, the guy at the Rack suggested that I get a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). Something to do with having low profiles and low pressure that can lead to rim damage. Ideas?

I have the Mich Pilot Sport A/S 245-40-18. I really like them. I wouldn't go with 245-45-18, that size will furhter mess up your speedometer, mileage, abs, etc...
The 245-40-18 is also slightly off from the stock circum, but is better than 245-45-18.

I've got the rims!!!! YES! If you are looking for the gunmetals, it appears that there are a few left in California and my local dealer has 2 more. On to tires.....
Captain: I looked at the Michelins on Tire Rack and they appear to be a great tire. Got to reading the review posts and it appears that the center rib on the tires tend to wear prematurely (wear range 15000-20000 mi). For $241, I expect to get something that will wear a little longer (30000 mi). I've heard the Pirellis have issue with tramlining. That leaves the Yokohamas. They're snow traction isn't the best, but are "supposed" to be quiet as all get out. Any other recommendations before I purchase? Toyo?

I checked Costco too....with tax and install $1183. I got the Pirellis + TPMS for $1013 delivered. $80 for mounting and Hunter roadforce balance + $90 for 4 wheel alignment + free stems + free install of TPMS = $1183
It's expensive. I hope that the new rims and tires improve the ride.
After all is said and done, I have 4 17" rims and 4 BS tires. What to do..... How long can you store these things? Any special storage? Would it be better to sell them? E-bay?
