Question What are comptech springs and sways used for?

what are the springs and sways used for? i am getting some alba 907 blaze rims(18s) and i am nervous about them rubbing. some people on here have really low offsets that don't rub and some have high ones that do so i don't know what to expect. the rims i want are +42s and i hope they work. any suggestions to prevent it just in case?

Hm....hard to say...depend on yr luck..
i just bought a BBS RKII 17" rims today with low pro tires 225/45/17 and yes...they do rub at the rear....But everything seems fine after the fender roll....and i think my rims are 43+ offset. Yes, i lowered the car with eibach prokit.....hope this might help.

Question

so now that you have rolled the fenders(which is what?) they don't rub anymore? do you think dropping your car makes it more likely to rub?

The problem lies with the tire. Two separate companies with the same tire size can have two completely different specs. Try to find one with a smaller tread width to further help you.

Try to go higher than +45 to be safe but I know people with +42 and Comptech springs with rubbing only when they have a loaded car.

BTW, try to avoid fender rolling. It is permanent body work to your fenders.
