AT vs MT a-spec suspension

Looking to get better cornering and that lower look. I have read and searched but have not found answers to these questions.

1.) If I upgrade my brakes to the MT Brembo and therefore switch the knuckles to make them fit my AT, do I have get the MT Aspec Suspension or the AT or doesn't matter?

2.) Will either MT or AT suspension give me a bigger drop? I have read the biggest concern with this kit is the small drop, and that the AT weighs more so by putting the MT suspension on my AT will yield a bigger drop. Is this true?

Thanks....kind of new here

I just picked up the MT suspension kit and plan to install in my 06 auto, so I can give you some feedback once I'm done with it. From what i've read on here, the MT version will create more of a true 1" drop compared to the .5-.75 with the auto version.

I just put on MT aspec suspension in my 05 TL auto.

Drop is subtle on both front and back, but the handling is just . So different.

If you have M/T A-Spec springs on an A/T TL then the front will be a little lower than the back. The drop is definitely noticeable next a stock TL but it is also noticeably higher than a TL with an S-Tech or Eibach setup. The A-Spec handling is awesome!

This is very true. After I put in my aspec, I couldn't really tell if my car had been lowered or not since the drop is about 3/4-1 inch. So I parked my car right next to a stock TL and my car is definitely lower.

Does the difference in drop from front to back look bad or not really noticeable?

Can you post some pics so I can see the drop?

I can't figure it out. They say the eibach and aspec both drop the car one inche. Why does everyone say the aspec only goes .5-.75 ? Sounds to me like it's in peoples heads.

Don't quote me on this one because I don't have one yet but it may have something to do with the fact that the springs need to settle. I figure most people get there kit, are excited to see the drop and as soon as its installed start measuring. If this is the case they would probably only see the .5 to .75 in drop. Waiting until it settles would probabaly yield a true measurment.

why does the MT A-spec lower the front more on an AT car vs an AT A-spec suspension?

AT is heavier in the front than the MT.

Anyways MT Aspec suspension on the AT is the way to go. Looks great. I hated my AT Aspec on AT my front end was so high. Performance wise they are both awesome though, just the MT on AT looks better.

Do you have any pics of both to compare the drop? Or atleast pics of the MT suspension?

Thanks

The spring rate is going to be different on the MT then the AT. The Transmission on the AT adds additional weight over the MT. So with a slightly reduced spring rate and the additional weight the AT will sit a bit lower.
