Vibration gone!!!

Got my 04 TL in late September and it was equipped with the dreaded EL 42 Bridgestone tires. They flatspotted big time. Took it back to the dealer and they replaced the original BS tires (manufactured in Sept 04) with different Bridgestone EL 42s (manufactured in July 04). The new tires flatspotted, but not nearly as bad as the first set. However, I did have a vibration from 55 to 65 mph. I just had these tires balanced with the Hunter roadforce balancer and, miracle of miracles, no more vibration............smooth as silk. I have yet to try them at speeds higher than 65, but that will occur in a day or so. Right now I am happy.

I guess your original BS EL42s were OB6N PVC, good to know the new TU2 EL42s are at least helpful. Please try the higher speed and have some review to us again, Thanks.

Rets...............Nope, strangely enough, both sets of EL 42s were the TU 2s. I cannot account for the improvement in lack of flatspotting, but the second set were provided to my dealer by a BS dealer in Portland, OR. And the second set was older than the first. I am baffled.

Sorry for misunderstanding your post...

Oops. This is very weird. The quality of EL42 production lines from BS seemed not consistent.
