Unfortunate tire wear questions
I used to have an early model of ’04 TL 6MT and I had experienced the problem with rear suspension/tire wear, but I sold the car because of the rattles and other problems and the tire wear did not concern me at that time.
I would like to give TL a chance one more time, this time I will be looking for ’06 or ’07 6MT with Navi which if I am not wrong comes with Michelins not Bridgestone tires.
I am still concern if the rear tire wear exists on ’06 models. Has Acura done anything to correct this? Is this the global problem? Does it only affect certain cars or every single TL? Is there any significant difference in the tire wear when a car is equipped in a-spec or non-a-spec, Michelins or Bridgestone tires, different year 04/05/06?
I really like the car, but I am afraid to get it if I have to replace the tires every year (I do about 20k miles a year) which might add up a lot to the car maintenance over the years.
Thanks for any opinions.

I have an 05 TL with Navi and it has Michelins on it. I had Michelins on my lst car that lasted 55,000 miles! I'm at 15000 right now I have had them rotated twice - I do it every 6000 miles and not a mile over - and the folks at Discount say the tired look brand new! We will see. I think Michelins are good tires. I have had good luck with them

Its not really the tires causing the uneven wear, its when the car is loaded with a lot of stuff making the rear end heavy and the compression of the suspension increases the toe causing the inside of the tires wear. This will apply to people with Michelins or whatever tires you have.
I have a 06 and im not sure if they fixed this problem yet as i havent had the back full of people and luggage
