Type S With Tein Ss Pics

HI ALL! I HAVEN'T SEEN MANY PHOTOS OF THE TEIN SS SETUP ON TLS WITHOUT WHEELS. JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SHOW WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE ON THE FACTORY RIMS. IT WAS WITH THE HELP OF THIS FORUM THAT I DECIDED TO GO WITH THIS SET UP AND I AM GLAD I DID. THANKS TO EVRYONE!

thanks...i honestly did not measure before it went in. i would guesstimate that it was around 1.5" there is no tire rub whatsoever.

Looks really good. I still can't figure out why the Type S didn't come with 18's.

What are your coilvers set at?
That looks crazy low.

Are you at "full drop" or did you set the height at the setting specified in teh Tein instructions?

How was your alignment?

thanks for the compliments guys. hope my car looks as good as yalls one day.

kennedy: it is roughly a quarter inch below the tein instructions... why you ask? because the instructions where at the house and the coilovers where at the shop... figures huh? alignment has not been done yet because the rj's are going on tomorrow. i will take a little more time to measure and align after the wheels are on.

Question: Tein SS > H&R Coilovers?

Do you have to do the whole EDFC setup? ...You have to get a new strut bar and everything right?

wow nice old thread. I like the tein ss but u have never had the H&r. so i can't answer that. but yes i do have the edfc. and no i don't have a new strut bar. I/we cut my current strut bar to accomodate the edfc motors.

there is a member that is currently working on providing a new strut bar. I have already told him I am buying one because I am not happy with cutting the factory one.

tough to answer. my type s has never (even after the drop) rattled as much as my 05. what I really meant by that answer is that for all of those that complain about rattles in their cars already.. the last thing they want to do is install the teinss.

there are a couple of really good threads on here about stopping rattles. I have taken their advice forthe couple of rattles I did have and now even with my subwoofer I hear hardly any at all. I know I rambledbut hope that helps

That is so money...
If should come like that from the factory.

I find the stock Type S stance ridiculous looking. The wheels look so puny and the gap looks horrible.
