yes for 50 dollars its a great upgrade.
a better upgrade would be the progress RSB, but at $160-200, it might be a little too pricey

the progress bar can be had for $140 ish new depending where you get it, and closer to $100 if you wait to buy a used one

but the stock tl-s one is a great upgrade for the base tl either way

04-08 base automatic - all the same. 17mm i think.
04-06 six speed - 20mm
07-08 type-s 20 mm.

i think. i could be off by 1mm.

its worth it. the 07-08 base has the softest suspension of all 3G TL so anything will help

acura parts diagram shows a different part number for 04-06 base and 07-08 base. not sure exactly on the difference though

04-06 6speed is indeed 20mm, but its hollow, whereas the type S has a solid bar.

Absolutely it is worth the money. I just installed the 20mm type S sway bar in the back of my 04' base TL and the difference in body roll was like night and day. I still have the 27mm SOLID Type S Sway bar to install in the front, but that is going to have to wait for a different day. At first I was in shock at how the mannerisms of my car had changed. My initial thoughts were to 86 the front sway bar and just keep the rear one. However, further driving and pushing of the limits made me conclude that I will proceed with the installation of the front sway bar. I might not need lowering springs depending on how my car handles after the the updated sway bars.

I considered doing this on my 08 base. It would be great to get your impressions of dropping the front subframe. I'm still debating whether I want to go through all that work just to upgrade the front swaybar.
