Hey, does anybody know when should i change the timing in my 04 Acura Tl. I chcecked the online owner's manual and it says: if you drive regularly in very high temperatures (over
110°F, 43°C), or in very low temperatures (under-20°F,-29°C), replace every 60,000 miles (U.S.)/100,000 km Canada.
How about if I drive in normal conditions which is between -10 and 30C.
Any suggestions as for transmission fluid change cause manual isn't clear also. Oil change shop technician told me it should be changed after 48.000 km but manual says first change after 100.000 km. I'm a bit confused now, don't want to spend 150$ for unnecessary service but i'm worried about the car too.
I live in Canada my car is an US version it has 55400 miles which is some 88600 kilometers.

Most people do the 105,000 mile timing belt replacement. I'm planning mine soon, when it hits 90,000 just to be safe since I live in a very hot area.

The manual might recommend 60,000-100,000 miles for the trans fluid change but that's way too late. If you stick with the low quality stock Z1 fluid I suggest doing a drain and refill every other engine oil change. The factory recommended intervals on the transmission are crazy when you look at how quickly the fluid oxidizes and shears down. At your mileage I would do a 3x3 drain and refill and then 1x3 every other engine oil change after that. You can go to a quality synthetic and then follow the manual's recommendations for the stock fluid.

FWIW, a 3x3 is draining all 3 quarts out, driving it so that it hits every gear and draining again, twice.
