Are tpms sensors required?

Got my tires today and going to have them mounted onto my rims over at Americas Tires. Taking the rims and tires only since they're going to be stretched and apparently to them that would be considered a "Project Car" which they cant work on, therefore my old Sensors are going to stay mounted on my wheels that are currently on my car atm

If you're asking about tires being mounted on wheels w/o the tpms sensor insatlled, the answer is yes, but the downside is that everytime the car is started the "alarm" chime will sound and the light will remain lit on the dash.

I don't buy the whole "project car" premise... They should be able to put the TPMS on the new set up. Either way you will be fine, just annoyed with the T,PMS warning that will appear on the dash everything you drive. My girl did the same thing, but after a while she got used to it.

^This. As far as I know, there is no way to deactivate the tpms and therefore, you'll have to put up with the constant reminders.
