TPMS sensor

I have a 2006 Acura TL. I put fix a flat in one of the tires. When starting the car I looked at the tire pressure. It reads 58 pounds. After about 30 seconds it gives me the error message and all the readings go blank. Do I need to replace the sensor?

You have to be careful what you put into your tires when you have a TPMS sensor. Last I checked both Fix-A-Flat and Slime are both TPMS compatible. There are some odd ball sealants that are not, you just have to read the can. On the other hand, your sensor batteries are 11 or 12 years old now and depending how much you have been using the TPMS, the batteries could be on their last leg.

I've seen (replaced) many broken sensors with fix flat liquids in the tire.
